In 2010-2011, Somalia was afflicted by its largest drought in decades. Over a million people left their homes in search of food and safety. Polish Humanitarian Action appealed for solidarity and assistance for starving Somalis. Thanks to the generosity of Poles, PAH collected over PLN 2,000,000. In 2011, the organization began operations in the Puntland region, and in June 2012 it expanded into Mogadishu. PAH thanks all its donors. They are responsible for ensuring Somalis have access to water, and that children and their mothers are fed.
